DY COMDT & CI NDA : CONTINUUM OF COMMAND

The responses to above article have been encouraging and several former Commandants of NDA have agreed to pen down their thoughts about their respective tenure. As and when received these will be published by MVI.

As readers are now aware, the last time former NDA Commandants penned down their thoughts on NDA was about 15 years ago. These have been covered in the six articles made available to readers in our above referred article . Ironically, for past 15 years ( 2011 - 2026 ) there hasn't been a single article by any Comdt of NDA . Resultantly , there has been a huge communication gap about the objective reality and awareness of NDA.

Notwithstanding, even today , if former few Commandants pen down their thoughts in retrospect, these would surely enable readers to be better aware and knowledgeable on NDA.

While the ball has been set rolling for former Comdts to write , with our engagemrnt / interaction with a few former Commandants and Dy Comdts has brought in the imperative need for former Dy Comdts to also pen down their thoughts . Hence , MVI is now also making an earnest appeal to Dy Comdts of past 15 years ( 2011- 2026 ) to pen down their thoughts on NDA which MVI will publish . In this context it is pertinent to mention that 15 years back two former Dy Comdts had written for the Victory India Campaign & Fauji India Magazine. PDFs of their articles are given below:

In view of the above, we request willing / keen former Dy Comdts of NDA to write about their memorable tenure . Coupled with articles by former Comdts these will surely enable and facilitate the emergence of a fairly clear picture about the realty of NDA and the need for realistic reviews and reforms to address present and future challenges . More importantly this could pave the way for creation of a precedence for " Continuum of Command " not only for Commandants of NDA but for the Dy Comdts too !
