TURKEY-PAKISTAN-SAUDI ARABIA 'TRIADE' : A NEW ISLAMIC STATE FRONTIER? -Brig Neil John

What the title suggests is common sense! You don’t need a military strategist to analyse this.Just plain logic will do !

INDIA

-Financially stable and growing

-Infrastructurally stable

-Technologically a imposing giant

-Military that’s gaining ground on self production

-Satellites in space at cheapest costs

-River water control

-World view population

-Not linked to terrorism

-Hindu majority country (in a caliphate dream geography)

-Great relationships with Russia & USA

-Israels new best friend

-Neutral with Iran

-Most favoured South East Asian nation by Africa and Europe

-A political will to raise the ante as per a nations need.

PAKISTAN

-Failed economy

-Wars all around, Balochistan, Sind, Khyber Pakhtunwala, Gilgit Baltistan & POJK

-Military dictatorial threats and a lost war Buniyan-Um-Masood

-Failing relevance in a new world order

-Enslaved by china

-Begging bowl with US

-Vintage equipment

-A poverty stricken population

-Threat to military by own people.

-No war waging potential with India

-India the biggest sworn enemy has grown to be unmatched singularly.

So what do they do ?

ALIGN - THE BEST WAY FORWARD. Bring other Muslim nations on religious sentiments into the threshold. They already have China and US, who would rather support them or stay neutral. (The great nationalistic game- national interests first).

- Be a threat in being to India.

- ⁠Fight under an umbrella of resistance or religious justification

- ⁠Don’t let India constantly blackmail them by stoppage of natural resources

- ⁠Keep the money flowing cause Pakistan can’t make their own

- ⁠Have an escape route for it’s renegade military leadership to flee to, like UK for Musharraf

- ⁠Cause constant discomfort to India .

- ⁠Take up cause of Kashmir afresh and deter the people of Pakistan from realising that militarily Pakistan has never won a war and today is in the thick of internally borne terrorism.

- ⁠Match a joint military might with India.

- ⁠Use the leverage to keep India deterred.

THE WAY FORWARD

We can’t show open alliances

But we need to manifest upon the threat of an Islamic upsurge and commit to military, technology and space sharing with South East Asian nations, South Korea, Vietnam, Australia, African nations, Germany, South American nations and UAE.

Russia is an all weather friend and will be there.

Meanwhile build capability and have a global presence. Exploit the IOR strategically.

Have an aggressive foreign policy of diplomatic confrontation before war.

Expose terrorism and keep at it with intelligent narratives and not only tactical operations in Pakistan.

Somehow manage to keep China and US neutral by MOUs that give them special status yet not impinging on own freedom of will.

Start building on the fifth gen warfare models. War without fighting. Cyber space and technological routers.

Become financially sustainable, to be able to absorb the first two waves of a nation at war.

A LONG WAY TO GO !

We are not even close to being a well defended country. We need to build silent and unified invisible capability. That’s spoken about in dark rooms and in uniform led conference halls with intrigue and fear. Not political noise and communal commotion.
