Operation Sindoor: An Incomplete Mission

Was it a little too early to declare ‘Ceasefire’ with Pakistan? This question has been churning in my mind since the time it was declared. Personally, I am very disappointed. As the famous saying goes “Ye Dil Mange More”. More of and from Pakistan, with an end to their nefarious activities forever.

I do not know what transpired at the highest levels, but as a Veteran who was deployed twice for over a year, once when Kargil happened in1999. We had our ammunition and missiles loaded, waiting for the ‘green signal’ which never came as the operation was localised to Kargil area.

The second time, when the attack on our Parliament happened in 2001. That time I was heading a ‘logistics train’ of an offensive Armoured formation and could never hear “Tally Ho” to unleash our fire power against the enemy who had hurt us and got away with the impression that they could carry out attacks and get away with murder which was partially avenged now.

However, “Kutte ki dum tedi hi rahti hai, chahe ‘baarah’ saal botal main band rakho”. We kept it for 78 years and it is still curled. Why is it tedi still? Because there are forces in this world which help it to stay curled.

One of them is the US, who through the IMF released 1b $ for now. This money will get diverted for buying weapons. Whatever is left will be pocketed by their politicians. Let us be clear that the US is friends of nobody. They only have self interests.

The second supporters are the Chings and Mings of China. They have their own stakes in the CPEC and Gwadar Port. They are producing tanks and aircrafts in Pakistan, plus supplying ‘dud’ missiles against whom? India of course. Muslim world has also been funding them. So, how will the tail straighten?

The only way to straighten it was to amputate the tail. During Op Sindoor-I and we missed our chance. We snipped a little portion of it. The main muscle is the Paki army, who run these militant factories in Pakistan. They are the ones who need to be sent to “dozak” for supporting terrorists in the name of Jihad.

Pakis are untrustworthy and liars. No ‘Deen’ & no ‘Dharm’. We must remember this. Now they will use the money and time to recoup, repair, rest and get ready for future use, while there is a lull in the battle.

I can vouch for myself, when after a year of deployment during both occasions, when orders were given to return to barracks, how dejected I felt. It was time to test our mettle, our training, our preparation for what we took an oath over the Constitution of India. To protect it at the peril of our lives.

Our equipment too felt good, when every ammunition belt was fully loaded and mounted on our machine guns. Missiles and bombs were primed and awaited the launch button to be pressed. All ammunition stowage canisters in the tanks glistened with shiny warheads showing their teeth ready to tear the enemy apart, were unloaded and sent back to ammunition depots.

I think we missed a huge opportunity when Pakistan is cash starved, their “military” is in wrong hands and no match to ours, politically they are unstable, their internal turmoil is taking its toll, their economy is in doldrums, their water is controlled by us, their ports could be sealed by our Navy & our aircrafts and missiles could hit targets with impunity.

Earthquakes too can be triggered artificially, these ruddy chaps should know. The US has sent its planes to assess the damage done by us to their nuclear launch pads & clean up. They will keep petting this puppy.

Still, my hunch says that this is just a “smoke screen”. In my previous article, I have already laid down the conditions to which they have to agree to, to begin talks. They agree or get bombed again.

My heart is with every serving personnel & his family. I know their sentiments and what their families go through in these testing times. My daughter was 8 months old, barely able to babble when we mobilised in 2001. When I returned home, she could walk and talk. I missed the first word she spoke and the first step she took.

Be that as it may. It is too premature to trust these ‘Ps’, though I wanted to use the ‘second alphabet’. We need to be on constant guard. Let us keep a close watch on their ‘nuclear facilities’ and precisely follow the wanted terrorists like hawks. Either they hand them over or we take them out.

Let Turkey also know that they have made another enemy. We supplied them with so much aid during the earthquake. Let America & China know that we know how to deal with terrorists and their supporters. Every camp & training facility will be on our ‘crosswire’ henceforth & shall be destroyed without warning. Let this message go loud and clear.

Hand over POK to us if you want peace, earlier the better or else your jugular will bleed and you won’t even have water to wet your lips.

My frustration doesn’t matter. I know, my government knows what is best for India. This rogue country has to be put in the bottle back and capped, with just its tail left to wag. To conclude ,Op Sindoor remains an incomplete mission ! Do you guys agree? I wonder!!!!!

India missed a historic chance to take POK. Democracy is the softening factor. Trump is mercurial. China is doubtful. Modi has calibrated the action in view of mad people pressing the Nuclear button. Nur khan is already under nuclear leak. Balochistan should be given all hope to put pressure on Pak. It is SNAFU as they say. Lets hope we get some uprising going inside Pak ie against their Armed forces.

Ye dil mange more is alright but if we would have continued with our offensive after having achieved our stated objective then we would have become an unreliable nation in the international community.
