My response to fellow Indians who have made plans to cut Pak to size and are going ballistic; and to Arnab and GD Bakshi types who are working out kilotons required to vapourise Pak.

Rhetoric. Venom. Frothing like madmen. Pakistan does it daily. Hear Billawal sabh and hear their PM, hear their chief. Imbeciles.
Also see some of the foolish statements being made here. And those demonstrations in foreign lands by 'Indians' that a 'particular' blood has been spilt. We want revenge.
My dear friends it is Indian blood. Our blood. Not blood of any 'particular' relgion.
Will people of other religions of India not be a part of this war? This war which many Indians are advocating for?
And will not the blood of all 'types' of Indians be spilt?
Will we employ and keep a tally of our killed, wounded and injured soldiers so that it is proportional to population, religion and language?

Sir, we need to be pragmatic. Our plan has to be a mix of military actions; immediate and long term. And same for certain Govt policies-- with short term and long term goals.
And we should not fall prey to politicians baying for blood-- for vote bank politics.
First of all we need to insure the nation against propaganda-- theirs and our own.
This dividing of Indians on language and religion, on caste and creed. This must stop.
The danger we face is not from inside, it is from outside.
Go slow. Do not jerk your knee and then look like fools-- ab aage kya karna hai?
What you need is a long term plan. Any war must have a final aim. A culmination point. An end plan.

What is the aim?
Regime change? Capture Lahore? Retake POK? Cause civilian casualities?
Destroy infrastructure?
Is it to cause pain-- and accept pain?
Do not forget the psyche of Pak :
WE DIE, YOU DIE, WE ALL DIE
We need to garner friends. Get support. We need to have good relations with our other neighbours-- Nepal, Bhutan, Burma Bangladesh, Srilanka.
We need the support and the backing of the Middle East, Gulf, USA, France, UK, Israel--
We need allies.
We need to start immediate building of infrastructure for water management. To stop, divert, block and absorb the 140 MAF or so of water flow to Pakistan. It will take time.
We need to blockade ports and intercept ships and air craft carrying military equipment to Pak.

We need to help Baluchistan seperatists with money and military supplies. Air drops if required. Beware, no boots on ground.
We need to sack certain politicians, security and intelligence heads for not being effective.
We need to replace them with more professional persons. They are failures.
We need to target HVT's with missiles.Population centres only as retaliation if they do so.
We should not cross over for capturing ground or cities or POK. That will draw us into a un-winable vortex. Maybe local area operations and limited exploitation at best.
We need to mobilise the nation and the military and be ready; and we need to keep our and the media's mouths shut to keep the world guessing.
We need to keep the AF on standby unless Pak crosses the border.
Then only full fledged war to be started.
And if it happens, then; only then go all cylinders firing for maximum real estate without crossing the Pak nuclear threshold.
In the long run, we must cut out hate mongering within the country and make India an inclusive nation.
We need to unite more effectively to fight the outside enemies- Pak and China. And we need to constantly keep building up our military capability as a powerful deterrent.

There is therefore an imperative need for a united, pragmatic and practical approach to successfully counter the multiple threats being faced by our nation. Or Pulwamas and Pahalgams will keep happening.
Sorry for being blunt, but a lot of meaningless chatter has been going around.
"Pak Army Chief, Asim Munir had two aims in his speech ,first aim - Unite Pakistan in the name of religion, second aim - Divide India in the name of religion. He might succeed in the first aim . He must NOT be allowed to succeed in the second aim ! " - Maj Gen Vijay Pande
A very mature and sensible appreciation of the existing situation. The recommended actions are in national interest. We must keep in mind that we are one of the fastest growing economy in the world and the impact of an all out war has to be carefully evaluated. In plain language I would like to state that Indians of the two major religions have chosen themselves to be like the tava which absorbs the heat on which the political leaders make their chapatis. Our anchors on TV who have become popular with the media should raise their words, not their voice
