Decline of US Empire & Transforming Global Power Equation!

“For 100 years, the US climbed relentlessly. But the peak came 12–15 years ago—and now we’re sliding down a slope every empire eventually faces.”, Nitin Kaushik, US Based CA in “X”, as quoted in a Story on Business Today.

According to the above statement by Nitin Kaushik , this decline was not just about politics but a structural shift in money, power, and innovation. He has argued that the United States is past its peak as the world’s leading economic and political force. He emphasises that China’s $19.2 trillion economy and India’s $4 trillion GDP are the key drivers of this transformation. Besides. shrinking military advantages, deficit spending, geopolitical overreach, and a shift in moral, social, and behavioural conditions have been associated with American decline.

The United States' global dominance has faced renewed questioning due to factors like China's rise, the 2008 financial crisis, and the 2021 Afghanistan withdrawal. USA has been definitely declining since 2010, but Donald Trump has accelerated the pace of this decline . India is the key player in this accelerated decline of USA . It may be noted that in PPP (Procuring Price Parity) terms India’s GDP is pegged at $ 14 Trillion and just behind USA and China.

Paul Krugman, a noted US journalist, in his blog of SubStack, in his article “Decline And Fall of American Empire”, dated 29 August 2025, blames current president of USA . To quote him, “—The Pax Americana that emerged after World War II - and basically ended on January 20, 2025—in just 7 months, Trump has completely ripped up the foundations of the Pax Americana.”

Recent SCO meet in China, on 31 August / 01 September 2025, a new dawn has risen in Global Geopolitics, when Russia , India and China (RIC), swore to work together towards a new Global order. Of course , declining USA will play many dirty games to check the rise of the new Global Trinity of Power . Future historians of USA would blame Donald Trump for this murder of US empire . He will be recognised as “Gorbachev” of USA . Gorbachev’s Glasnost and perestroika had led to Soviet Union’s disintegration, and Donald Trump’s TRADE offensive would be a blot on his name.

Some Indian analysts think that Indo- US separation might be temporary. I do not think so. It is a total breech of trust. India will never take USA on face value. It is now a case of “Once bitten, Twice shy ! ”. In the past, too, India had been harmed by Republican Presidents of USA — whether it was Richard Nixon (January 1969-August 1974) and Ronald Reagan (January 1981 - January 1989) .

Richard Nixon had sent 7th Fleet to hep Pakistan in 1971 war with Pakistan. It was Soviet Union who intervened, and 7th Fleet had to retreat. USA has always helped Pakistan against India . Ronald Reagan had in fact, allowed Pakistan to build an atomic bomb clandestinely , while USA looked at the other side . USA was never comfortable with India’s strategic autonomy — it always wanted a pliable and weak government in India. It is no doubt that USA sees India as a Challenger to its global domination .

Global Deep State of USA - a conglomerate of businessmen , retired bureaucrats, intel agencies and some politicians — is playing games within India and in its immediate neighbourhood . Its tool- kit projects , like Farmer’s agitation , anti - CAA protests and now politically influenced “ Vote- Chori ” movement against a constitutional authority, ECI and the Government are aimed at destabilising India and derailing its economic growth . Besides, anti India articles in known Indian portals likes “The Wire” etc are part of this game .

One lesson of history India has to keep in mind that there were NO permanent friends in international relations . India has to stand strong on its own feet . “ Dependency” on others leads to not only “ Slavery” but also makes one an international “ Bhikhari” (Beggar). Pakistan is the best example of this in modern times .

Therefore, cozying up to China by India or vice versa, is the geopolitical compulsion of times . To consider China as an ever lasting friend, would be a blunder of the type of Pakistan, who calls its Chinese friendship, “deeper than ocean , sweeter than honey and higher than Himalayas”.

in the bargain, Pakistan is like a “strategic condom” being used by China and USA alternatively.

India also ought to take notice of events in its neighbourhood — particularly Bangla Desh . Recent news of the death of a Commander of US 1st Special Forces Command ( Air Borne) in a Dacca Hotel, Westin, on 31 August 2025, was shocking .

A serving Inspector General, Terrence Anelle Jackson. has been there in Bangla Desh for several months on allegedly a “ business trip”. God knows what was his business but he had been seen in areas adjoining India’s Mizoram and Manipur States . His organisation has been known for regime Changes .

Connect it to arrest of two US Citizens of Bangla Deshi origin in Kuki dominated area of Manipur in May 2025. It seems Sheikh Hasina as Prime Minister of Bangla Desh was not wrong when she had claimed that a powerful country wanted to create a Christian nation in the Bay of Bengal by poaching upon India’s North East and Bangla Desh . This led to her overthrow and a puppet was placed in her place .

Global Deep state is trying to play a la- Bangla Desh in India too. India ought to watch out . Regime change of non- complying nation is a old game of USA . It started with Mohammed Mossadegh , Iranian Prime Minister in 1951. Iraq of Saddam Hossain, Libya of Gaddafi and even Pakistan of Imran Khan have been victim of this game of USA .

It is now alleged that Deep state has under taken an Operation “ Diversion , Disruption and Division” to bring out a regime change in India . This is also called “Operation 37” by some, whereby, it is alleged that 37 MPs of ruling party of India, led by some senior Party leader, were being lured away to ensure fall of the current Government and install a puppet regime who accepts hegemony of USA . It is also believed that POTUS , Donald Trump has been given 12 months to bring down the present government.

It is a different matter whether Deep State would be able to affect a regime change in India or not . But government ought not to be complacent. Danger is more from within . India has a long history of traitors who had betrayed India in the past. Lord Clive had enslaved India with just 1000 British soldiers . Rest were all Indians who worked against India . Prithvi Raj Chauhan was the victim of Jai Chand’s betrayal in 1192 AD. How can one forget Battle of Khanwa in 1527 AD between Babur and Rana Sangha , when at the crucial time Silhaditya of Bikaner deserted Rana Sangha and joined Babur. Of course betrayal of “Lahore Kingdom” of descendants of Maharaja Ranjit Singh by Lal Singh and Teja Singh in the First Anglo - Sikh war of 1846 is another example of betrayal from within .

There are many saleable people even in modern India who would do any thing for individual gain for a fistful of dollars. It is therefore not only desired of government but all concerned Indians to be watchful of such traitors— who would do so in the name of democracy, secularism or even constitution.
