Sir/ Madam,
Ref. Kindly peruse/ read on link below :
Supreme Court Directs Centre To Examine Amicus Suggestions For Rehabilitation Of Cadets Injured During Military Training
Three 'learned' ladies decided this ruling by the SC ,The Judge, the Advocate/ Amicus Curiae & ASG.
All the 'not so learned' men put together couldn't give this long sought justice to these unfortunate, medically invalidated/ boarded out cadets for so many years / decades !

Hon'ble late Shri Manohar Parrikar, ex RM, himself initiated a case 10 yrs back( 2015) that concluded with the 'Sabharwal Committte Report' for granting relief and medical cover to these cadets ,Unfortunately, despite many sustained efforts for so long these cadets did not get any relief . However, on 7 Oct 25 ,three learned ladies finally decided what was needed and this has been well publicised .
I request responses from readers on this development on 7 Oct 25 during the third unprecedented one hour long hearing at the SC .
In the armed forces, why are most of our officers/ men so heartless and not so learned that have enabled, facilitated or permitted this to happen ? Then we Men Question Role of Women ! ?
It definitely does gives one a sense of satisfaction when we finally see justice prevailing and being given where due .There was one cadet ; Calcutta based Ankur Chaturvedi, who had taken this noble task upon himself and was pursuing it with single-minded devotion for the past 20 yrs ! MVI was only helping him as part of one of the MVI aims/ objectives of a larger cause-- quality military leadership at all levels !

There are a few more noble tasks that MVI has taken upon itself/ themselves . These need your awareness involvement and genuine support to ensure that they too get the attention that they deserve to reach a logical conclusion and favourable reforms and implementation on ground . All these are collectively aimed towards enhancing the quality of our military leadership at all levels!
These Tasks are encapsulated in the six (6) u/m specific points/ tasks / challenges :
1. Objective Mandatory PT tests at SSBs for all Officer Entries. These have been taken up and pursued by all academies since 1995 and not yet materialized ! Again ,a matter of comparison with Recruits - they have it and surprisingly the officer cadets/ candidates don't have it in spite of recommendations for the same by all academies and all three services for past 30 years !

2. Mandatory PT Screening Tests at all academies be incorporated to obtain feed back of actual physical standards of cadets at the entry stage . This will enable academies / Services to project to SSBs the actual physical weaknesses that hamper / adversely affect their overrall training curriculum. This point is intrinsically linked to the first point .
3. All severe/ serious medical injuries / illnesses of cadets in the academies must be treated with earnest care and deep concern to enable speedy recovery. There should be full accountability/ responsibility for these injuries with the military discipline aspect being incorporated as per applicable Army Act /s / Rules and strict disciplinary action being taken against defaulters.

4. The minimum required physical training standards of cadets( especially of NDA &CTWs) in academies must not be hyped/ increased to compete with or overtake standards of finishing academies( especially IMA) due to availability of longer training periods ( at NDA & CTWs). This results in higher wastage rates as the weaker cadets are unable to meet these self-imposed higher standards especially because there are no physical tests at SSBs like for Recruits .
5. All Unofficial and Non Structured Training ,especially by Untrained Staff / Junior Cadets, should be stopped or minimized. This is the main cause for injuries and high rate of wastage ( medically boarded out, relgations & withdrawals for cadets failing in ODTs , resignations and even discipline cases .
6. At NDA the silent walls of NDA ,the Academic faculty which have 70% stake in the training of NDA Cadets must play a bigger and more active role in the training and grooming of cadets. They cannot continue to be treated as mere Walls of NDA without a Voice !
The above 6 points indicate/ describe the 6 main problems / weaknesses that are the deep-rooted and less visible / invisible causes that are preventing the optimum development and growth of cadets, especially at NDA .
What has surfaced at the SC suo moto hearing are the visible cases of medically boarded out cases . Why have / are they occured / occurring?

The Answer lies in the violations of the above 6 points that have / are taking place in these academies even today despite countless advisory articles and 5 volumes of Victory India Campaign books and numerous articles published by Fauji India Magazine and MVI website / think tank / news portal.
